Kitchener’s Carvery Bar, the second-oldest bar in Johannesburg, has reopened its doors in spectacular fashion, thanks to a visionary partnership between Castle Lager and Play Braamfontein.

The event celebrated the bar’s rich history while showcasing bold new design elements that reflect Castle Lager’s purpose of fostering meaningful connections. From carefully restored interiors to a curated menu and music lineup, every detail spoke to Kitchener’s transformation into a space that embodies the best of Johannesburg’s culture, creativity, and vibrancy.

Guests enjoyed an immersive experience with music curated to reflect the diversity and energy of Braamfontein’s nightlife. The menu featured a modern braai twist on classic bar fare, paired perfectly with Castle Lager’s distinctive taste, creating a memorable sensory journey.
