Lamelle Pharmaceuticals is a South African pharmaceutical company that produces high quality products and creates meaningful solutions that build confidence for issues such as problematic skin, age correction and sun protection. Lamelle Pharmaceuticals recently hosted a roundtable discussion that aimed to bring awareness to Actinic keratosis which is a skin disease that takes the form of scaly spots on the top layer of your skin. This disease usually appears on people over 40 years of age and it can be contracted from too much exposure to the sun.
The panel discussion aimed to explore the different ways of raising awareness for Actinic keratosis and driving behavioural change to prevent the disease. This panel also aimed to educate children of all genders about ways to protect their skin. Sherinne Winderly hosted the panel discussion which included Dr. Bradley Wagemaker, Kate Kearney, and Richard Laskey. The digital age we are in now proves that social media has a great impact and it has a wide reach.Social media is now being used to share the latest health information which allows for more people to be aware of the different health issues that exist around us.The sharing of health information also eliminates the stigmas that exist with certain health diseases.

To reduce the risk of contracting the disease, you do not only have to protect exposed skin from the sun but you also need to be aware of measures that can be helpful such as Nia-Sol. When it is taken at the correct dose, Nia-Sol provides 500 mg of nicotinamide, 10 mg French Maritime Pine Bark extract, and 100UI of vitamin D3 per day. Men and women are encouraged to protect their skin and incorporate skin routines into their daily routines.
