I don’t know about you, but my go-to drink when I’m dining out is a good ol’ Aperol Spritz. The drink has rightfully earned its spot as my favorite, for several reasons.
Here’s Why I Love Aperol Spritz…
It’s refreshing and has an invigorating taste that’s perfect for almost all my moods. Its blend of Aperol, Prosecco, and soda water creates a harmonious balance of citrusy sweetness and herbal bitterness, tantalizing your taste buds with every sip you take.
I also love how I’ve roped some of my friends into liking it too. So, the other day I took my friends restaurant hopping around Cape Town with the hopes of finding the best Aperol Spritz in town.
Here’s Where To Go?
A reliable source of mine sent me a list of really awesome restaurants in Cape Town that serve some of the best Aperol Spritz in the city. And since you’re basically our bestie, I’ll be sharing with you some of the go-to places to find the perfect Aperol Spritz.

We started off at Strolla, in Sea Point, we loved it here, the view and the vibes were giving everything it should give. We were clinking orange glasses at their roof top bar and enjoying Friday sundowners after work. Their food menu is just as good as their service and ofcourse the Aperol Spritz didn’t disappoint either.
We then headed off to Apertif on the Saturday, we loved this restaurant as it was nice and intimate but with a very lively and cool crowd. After we settled in, we called upon the drinks and went straight into business. Sidenote: Try make a booking beforehand when planning on coming here. We ordered nibbles and drinks and sat outside basking the beauty of Cape Town’s busy Bree Street.
Our mini tour ended with a bang, at the Time Out Market at the V&A Waterfront. Foodies will love me for this plug because this place is food heaven. While we roamed around the market trying to figure out what we will eat, we decided to roam around at least with a drink-in-hand – so we did just that. Heading straight to the bar, we ordered a burst of sunshine in a glass, the refreshing mix of Aperol, bubbly Prosecco, and fizzy soda water that the bar man made right in front of us. It’s safe to say we had quite a few of them, especially after we had our food and lined our stomachs. The flowing Aperol Spritz kept hitting the right spot, with each sip we took.

With all that said, I don’t think I can say which drink was the best, because they all did the things. However, I want to dare you to try out the other places we have not yet been to and you can come back and share your experience with us via social media.
On the reals though, I’m really such a big fan of this drink because it comes through for me every time, whether I’m chilling at the beach, brunching with my girls, or just winding down after a busy day, the Aperol Spritz always fits the bill. Its lightness makes it easy to sip, and that bright orange colour adds a pop to any occasion. Plus, there’s something about Aperol’s cool bitterness that gives the Spritz its edge, making every sip interesting and oh-so-refreshing. So yeah, it’s no wonder the Aperol Spritz is my all-time favorite drink—it’s not just a drink, it’s a whole vibe.
