Pretoria (PTA) is a major metropolis with a pristine natural terrain and numerous blooming nature reserves. The gorgeous blossoming purple trees known as Jacarandas that line the streets demonstrate that the city is really environmentally friendly.

1-Ditsong National Museum of Natural History

Ditsong Museum houses one of South Africa’s largest and oldest natural history collections, According to Ditsong website , this museum exhibits of 2.1 million-year-old hominid fossils from the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site.

2 -Wonderboom Nature Reserve

With a 1000-year-old tree that is about 23m high and 50m wide as its main attraction, the Wonderboom Nature Reserve is located in the North of Pretoria.

3 -National Zoological Gardens

Famously known as Pretoria Zoo, the National Zoological Gardens is the largest Zoo in South Africa. It is home to Africa’s Big five which include the Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, and Leopard.

4- Freedom Park Heritage Site

Freedom Park contains historical information that includes the names of South Africans that were killed in World War 1 and 2 as well as in the apartheid era.

5 -The Union Buildings
