Gerakaris Family wines
The boutique winery in the heart of Craighall Park, Johannesburg, produces wines from grapes sourced from a single farm in the Swartland, Western Cape. A cheese board is also served to match with the wines, showcasing four South African cheese producers , and bowls of Cape Olives. Weekends usually get busy, so it is better to make a booking ahead of time and wine tasting cost R100 per person .

Spier wine Farm
Hop in for some wine tasting in the airy tasting room at Spier wine farm or a food platter and glass of wine in the shady stoep that has gorgeous mountain and dam views. You can enjoy a set of wine tasting , with or without food pairing, or whatever you would like to have with a cheese, olive, or cured meat board. Wine tasting at Spier wine occurs from Monday to Sunday at 10am to 4pm.
Franschhoek wine farm
Be ready to discover and learn about the Franschhoek, a wine guide accompanies you to a selection of wine estates for premium tastings, pairings, a cellar& vineyard tour, and a curated three-course lunch. During the tour you will be guided through and get to experience the subtle tastes of terroir and learn about the local grape varieties.
Bookings are open for adults only (R1150.00), advanced booking is essential as only 12 spaces are available for each curated wine experience and the tour is pre-arranged to a set itinerary by Franschhoek wine farm.
Highgate wine estate
Enjoy some wine tasting and a delicious meal with a view of the beautiful KZN Midlands Meander. You will be presented with 100% estate wines which have all been grown on the farm, and many of the vineyards can be seen if seated outside in the picturesque scenery

Delaire Graff estate
This is a year-round destination; guests can enjoy a glass of wine on the outdoor terrace during summer or cosy up by the crackling fire in winter. The wines range from elegant reds with soft tannins to white wines that capture the freshness of the harvest. The estate also has an on-site spa and six separate lodges, a steam room and sauna.
Warwick Wine Estate
The family-owned and run winery is a quirky yet educational tasting experience. In addition to tastings of their award-winning range of the big five wines, Warwick offers guests gourmet picnics and charcuterie platters in a tranquil: relaxed setting on the lawns. The Big Five refers to the five types of wine grapes planted on Warwick’s farm, from cabernet sauvignon and sauvignon blanc to pinotage, merlot, and cabernet franc. Advance bookings are recommended.
